How to remove, clean and reinstall your Franke coffee machine brewing unit

Step-By-Step Guide for removing, cleaning and reinstalling your brewing unit

Required Setup:

Before you start, you'll need the following supplies:

  • Franke cleaning brush kit with red handles, and Franke long handled paint brush

Getting Started

The brewing unit is responsible for brewing the ground coffee and requires regular cleaning.  Franke recommend the brewing unit be removed and cleaned daily during the Clean Cycle.  Users must be careful when reinstalling to ensure the orientation is correct, and the brewing unit is locked.

Over time, spent coffee grinds can build up on the piston head, affecting the flow of water and coffee based drinks.
